Just riveting... Was at the mall shopping for Valentine's Day when I ran into the Monogram Canvas cousin of the Louis Vuitton Riveting bag. I checked her out, looked her up and down... nodded in approval, picked her up, and swung her under my arm.
She was not for me.
Although I love the utility factor (3 main compartments, the center/main one boasting a zipper and cell phone pocket) the bag was too boxy and had too much going on for me. The details are cute on the white but when you have that much stitching and rivets on monogram canvas it just screams for attention.

How cute is this? Mischa rocked up to a Grammy afterparty with Christina Aguilera. On being asked who her rings were by she dug through her clutch to find the notes Rachel Zoe had written for her and recited the designer's name. Despite Zoe being persona non grata her outfits for Barton are still cute, chic and manage to elude that typically Zoebot style which Nicole and Lindsay have sometimes succumbed to.

Fashion Criminals : Paris Hilton & Lindsay LohanYes, yes, we know Paris and Lindsay are dressed up - and drunk here, but what the hell, we thought we'd consign them to fashion hell forever more anyway. Just because we can.

Hey, I wonder what kind of sunnies MK's wearing? I can't possibly guess, can you?

Granny FashionMary-Kate and Ashley Olsen think that you want to dress like them:
It's funny, these new MKA designs (called The Row) look a bit like that old Madonna look that I was just referring to in an article yesterday. Interesting.

The Very Bad & The So Fugly of GrammysJohn LegendI'm probably supposed to think it's charming that you showed up with the bow tie undone, hanging languidly against your popped-open shirt which reveals just enough of what looks like a freshly waxed / lubed-up chest... I'm sure you expect me to think it's all just effortlessly cool, suave, and macho...but here's the thing - I don't. I find it pretentious, John Legend.
Carrie Underwood Carrie Underwood has a habit of showing up at award shows looking like a million bucks on the red carpet and then changing into something that makes her look more like five bucks.
Red Carpet :
"What a cute girl," you might say. "I love things that are sparkly. She looks sexy and age-appropriate!"
And then :
"Interesting," you might say. "Why did that cute girl change into a morose lampshade? How loud do you think that skirt is when she tries to sit down?"
And then :
"That cute girl looks like she's wearing her nightgown. Why is she wearing her nightgown? She's not at home, watching the Grammys in bed, eating bon bons and painting her toenails, like we are. Could she have had some kind of head injury backstage leading her to believe that in fact she was singing into her hairbrush in her bedroom? How very sad. How very sad, indeed. Maybe they should give her an award to snap her back into reality."
Sheryl CrowIt doesn't help that this dress is enforcing a high waistline on her that gives her lower half a bizarre dumpyness, but that torso is a frightening thing. Dating a professional and highly competitive cyclist probably sent her over the fitness edge; now we're worried that breaking up with said professional cyclist might have driven her away from the fridge. That's not cleavage -- that's a cutting board.
Tera PatrickThat's a cute shirt Tera Patrick is wearing.
"Shirt" being the operative word in that sentence.
Danni Ray
You're at the Grammy Awards, honey, not the gynecologist. Put your peaches back in the can, stand up straight, and stop visually begging people to use their trophies as a speculum.
Ashley Altman
I don't know who Ashley Altman is.
But I'm pretty sure SHE thinks she's Barbie.

M in MarchThe new line M by Madonna will be available on March 22 in H&M stores worldwide but here are the latest images from the clothing line to
show you what's gonna be in store:
Madonna, 48, said: "I've made no secret of my love of fashion. Working with H&M was an exciting and new creative challenge. I'm happy with the results and look forward to wearing M by Madonna along with the rest of the world." The collection - described as "reflecting Madonna's timeless, unique and always glamorous style" - goes into stores in 28 countries, including the UK, next month. It includes lumber jackets, blazers, kimono dresses, handbags and sunglasses, mainly in white, black, khaki and grey.
A Madonna favourite is a stylish trenchcoat in cotton poplin and leather. Prices will range from £7.99 to £149.99. Madonna, who is also modelling the collection for H&M's advertising campaign, apparently displayed considerable talent as a designer. "Madonna has an impressive feel for fashion and trends," said Ms van den Bosch. "She was extraordinarily style conscious, passionate and involved in even the smallest details."
So far, the stuff looks pretty cool. It'll be interesting to see if regular folk take to these designs. They're a far cry from her halcion days of lace and jelly bracelets.

The Project Runway Store According to The New York Times, Project Runway is “the Prada of reality shows.” Filled with fashion, models, celebrities and of course, high drama, Project Runway is the most addicting fashion reality show on television. The prize is a chance to show at New York Fashion Week, a Banana Republic mentorship, an ELLE fashion spread, and $100,000. Hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum, judges include renowned fashion designer Michael Kors and ELLE Magazine Fashion Director, Nina Garcia.
Each challenge assigned to the contestants pushes their individual creativity (and nerves!) to the limit. For example, one of Season Two’s challenges included the design of a dress constructed only of plants and flowers. The designers design and sew the garment, usually with only seconds to spare. The celebrity judges evaluate the designers’ outfits on the runway. Designers who don’t make the cut are asked to leave, and usually do so in tears of disapointment.
From $24.95 for a limited edition designer’s t-shirt to $400 for an emerging designer’s jewelry at the
Project Runway Store.

Many of the shoes in the aforementioned collection feature plaited leather details, thongs, gladiator sandal straps that slither around and eventually lace fetchingly around the ankle, and those ever-popular peep-toes. All those styles come in sunny, vibrant summer shades from mauve to metallics and more.
