Irreverent, original footwear designer Chie Mihara has a history that is as interesting as her shoes! Chie was born to Japanese parents in exotic Brazil, studied fashion design at Japan’s Kyushyu Design Gakkuin and accessories design at New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology. She has designed footwear for companies such as Sam and Libby and Charles Jourdan. Chie now resides in Spain with her husband and children, and started her own footwear line in 2001, aiming to “bring happiness” to her customers with her artistic footwear. Customers are increasingly becoming hip to Chie Mihara and her artful footwear, clamoring to buy her shoes from retailers like Portland’s Halo Shoes because they know and appreciate that Chie follows her own fashion heartbeat. Chie successfully melds comfort (each and every shoe contains an anatomical footbed), with style and sexiness, and she takes great pride in utilizing the finest of leathers and craftsmanship in her handmade footwear.
